Come slow down and unwind in our spacious, bright New Orleans style home just a few minutes walk from the Gulf of Mexico. With tall ceilings and large rooms, Rosemary & Time captures the easy, breezy mindset that we all crave while on vacation. You and your guests will find plenty of room to relax in our 1,700 square foot shot-gun style house. Beyond enjoying our home, you also have the opportunity to explore our unique neighborhood. Cassine Village boasts tennis courts and two swimming pools, as well as walking trails that connect to the state forest right next door. When you are ready to hit the beach, a short five minute leisurely walk brings you to the public beach access at One Seagrove. Those looking to explore the rest of Scenic Highway 30A will be happy to find Seaside just 2 miles to the west.

We have stocked our home with amenities that make spending time at the beach even more enjoyable. Renting chairs from one of the local beach boys is always an option but in case you just want a couple of chairs to soak in the sunsets, we have two Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs that can easily be carried down to the beach. Or you can wheel those chairs, along with all your other toys and necessities, to the beach in our sturdy beach wagon. Keep your drinks and snacks cool with one of our three coolers, one of which also has wheels to make your trip to the beach effortless.

Our home is appropriate for an adult getaway, a trip focused on family fun, and anything in between. Start your morning on one of our two porches with a cup of coffee or maybe a bloody mary from the wet bar. Serve up a tennis match behind the house with our four tennis rackets. A gas grill on the front porch will make short work of any seafood you purchase from Goatfeathers Market just a short walk across the road. Send the kids out to the pool only yards from the house, then out to explore the trails and ponds dotted throughout the neighborhood. When the kids tire of outdoor exploits, or rain keeps them in, three TVs, video, DVD, and Blue-Ray players, high speed WiFi, and a karaoke machine will keep them entertained. Or the kids can break out some of our puzzles, games, and art supplies if that rain persists a little too long. For those that relax by getting a good workout, our house is stocked with two yoga mats and an adjustable set of hand weights up to 25 pounds. Highway 30A, right outside the neighborhood, has one of the most beautiful bike paths anywhere running along its 20 miles with bike rentals available a short walk from the house. And don’t forget the running trails and tennis courts right outside our back door.

To assist with planning for your vacation stay, we provide the following information:

Our home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bedroom closest to the front of the house contains a king bed with a walk-in closet. There is a television that is set up so that you may access any Amazon Prime or Netflix accounts that you have. The bathroom closest to this bedroom is separated from the rest of the bedrooms so though it is not technically an en suite, it is still very private. The second bedroom contains a queen bed and a very large closet. The third bedroom holds twin bunk beds and a third twin bed with an average, though good size closet. This third room has a television and a Blue-Ray player and has been thought of as the “kids’ room” by us though many adults have been very comfortable here. Both the second and third bedrooms are at the rear of the house and have doors that lead out to the screened in back porch. Past the porch is a two car driveway and beyond that are the tennis courts and the smaller of the two community pools. We have enjoyed our easy access to these neighborhood amenities yet they are not so close as to present noise issues while enjoying the porch. In addition to the back driveway, we have a one car driveway at the front of the house for a total of three parking spots. Our dining room table seats six very comfortably, more if everyone is friendly. But to be sure we have plenty of room, we provide a sturdy folding table with four additional cushioned chairs as an option. The back porch has a patio table and ten chairs as well as cushioned benches to use as seating. We strive to provide tennis balls, plenty of extra pillows, a hairdryer in each bathroom, and a variety of puzzles, games, movies and books though the selection is always rotating. Our kitchen and bar are fully stocked with everything except the food and drink. Two blenders, a coffee maker, a Keurig, a french press, a tea kettle, two slice toaster, and salt and pepper shakers should help whip up whatever you and your guests fancy. As always, comments and suggestions on how to make your stay even more enjoyable are always appreciated.
